Job description
Meco Construction DKI is looking for an individual to join our team to move furniture and other household contents. This person is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a commercial vehicle.
Job Requirements: • Must have a valid drivers license with a clear driving record. • Lift, move, and place items by hand or with assistance of a dolly • Load/unload furniture weighing up to 100 lbs including up and down stairs to and from a cube van. • Ensure items are properly secured on the vehicle using furniture blankets, etc to protect contents from damage. • Knowledgeable using common hand/power tools to disassemble and reassemble furniture and equipment to include bed frames, mattresses, box springs, dressers, tables, chairs, sofas, appliances, etc. • Place furniture in the requested positions at the new location. • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any issues. • Other duties may include removal of debris from work sites, pick up/delivery of job materials including doors, windows, and construction material. • This position operates Mon- Fri 8:00am - 4:30pm with flexibility for early morning, evening and/or weekends to meet business demand. • Responsibilities and activities may change at any time.
