Production/Machine Operator

Job description
Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Production Operator for the night shift to join their dynamic production facility in Nisku, AB.
Job Summary: As a Production Operator, you will be an integral part of our production team, responsible for operating various manual and semi-automatic production equipment. Your expertise and experience in machine operation, along with your commitment to safety and quality, will contribute to the success of our production processes.
Primary Responsibilities: Operate and monitor production machinery to ensure efficient and high-quality output
Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance
Troubleshoot and address minor issues with machinery to minimize downtime
Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets and maintain workflow
Perform quality checks on finished products and document results
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols rigorously
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Assist in training and onboarding of new team members
Proficiency in operating and adjusting machinery to meet production requirements
Knowledge of troubleshooting techniques for equipment malfunctions
Understanding of basic electrical and mechanical systems
Ability to perform routine maintenance tasks on production equipment
Education & Experience Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Proven experience as a Production Operator in a manufacturing setting
Familiarity with various production machinery and equipment
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints
Knowledge of safety regulations and adherence to HSE standards
Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team
Additional Skills and Experience (Desirable):
Experience with CNC machines or other specialized production equipment
Forklift certification or experience
Basic understanding of computerized control systems
Continuous improvement mindset with suggestions for process optimization
HSE Requirements:
Ability to work in a production environment with noise and various physical demands
Capable of lifting items up to a specified weight limit
Please note that this position may involve working night shifts and is subject to satisfactory completion of a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
