Job Description:
Our client is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their Public Practice team. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining up-to-date knowledge of accounting and assurance standards while applying them effectively in engagements. You will work under supervision to complete smaller engagements independently and contribute to larger or special projects as part of a team. Your judgment and ability to communicate effectively will be essential as you interact with clients, senior staff, and team members professionally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stay informed about accounting and assurance standards and access professional and technical materials as needed.
- Complete smaller engagements independently and contribute to larger projects as part of a team.
- Exercise judgment and seek guidance when necessary.
- Develop strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Interact professionally with clients, senior staff, and team members.
- Proactively identify engagement issues and address them accordingly.
- Take responsibility for managing time and budget on assignments.

Requirements:
- Enrolled in a professional accounting program, CA, or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a CA firm at a minimum.
- Possess an appropriate degree of technical competency.
- Exhibit a high commitment to quality client service, work quality, compliance with policies and procedures, professional ethics, and integrity.
- Ability to work effectively at a staff accountant intermediate level.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Earned the respect of colleagues.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and meet client and engagement demands effectively.
- Demonstrated commitment to the goals and development of the Firm through active involvement in projects, etc.
