Job description
Our enterprise client is currently searching for a Junior Project Coordinator to join their team on a contractual basis.
The role of the PCO is to support project functions by overseeing the execution of tasks within the project plan, coordinating project staff to keep project tasks on track as assigned.
What you will be doing: - Maintain and support project information, including project plans, schedules, status reports, and budget and resource plans
- Participate in project meetings, recording assignments and updating information
- Prepare and distribute project updates and minutes of meetings
- Provide analysis of project plans, schedules and status reports to the Project Managers assigned, flagging issues, risks and weekly “to do’s” on projects
- Audit project information for accuracy, integrity and compliance with the defined project management methodology
- Maintain project files in the electronic central repository
- Assume other administrative responsibilities as required
Required Skills/Experience: - Understanding of project tracking tools and project management methodologies
- Experience in an IT project role (preferred)
- 2+ years in an IT role
- Demonstrated experience in data analysis and document reconciliation
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS software, including Microsoft Project
- Experience with Project Portfolio Management tool (PPM)
- Sense of ownership and commitment and the capability to drive issues to closure
