Marketing Coordinator (Maternity Leave Coverage)

Job Summary

Reporting to the President, The Marketing Coordinator  is responsible for executing strategic marketing plans for the organization. This individual will serve as the subject matter expert in all marketing-related activities through various channels with the objective of driving and attaining sales growth. The Marketing Coordinator will maintain marketing related website content, coordinate with our vendor partners, and manage the promotion of our products, services, and associated brands to meet profitability goals through effective marketing programs. This position will work closely with our sales team to guide customers through our marketing funnel from awareness to action. It is expected that the employee demonstrates behaviour consistent with our core values and supports our overall strategic plan.

Designated as a 12-month contract position, the opportunity for permanent employment is contingent upon performance and review.

Job Duties

• Implementation of inbound and outbound marketing programs, including email campaigns, digital advertising, organic search, social media, and customer events as outlined in the Annual Marketing Plan.
• Creation of digital marketing assets including social media posts, event flyers, website banners, print ads, and sales support collateral.
• Collaborate with sales management to support market specific sales-initiatives and meet customer needs.
• Promote branding initiatives consistent with corporate business goals and objectives.
• Ensure all communication and offerings conform to brand identity; conduct ongoing brand management.
• Develop relationships with external marketing professionals to produce supplementary marketing collateral.
• Communicate and negotiate with promotional partners as needed for joint marketing activities.
• Communicate and promote marketing and sales initiatives to all staff.
• Other duties as required by the organization.

Desired Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in marketing, business, communications, or equivalent.
• 3+ years of direct work experience in a B2B marketing capacity.
• Understanding and familiarity with digital advertising and brand management.
• Experience in creating and executing successful marketing campaigns, utilizing email, digital marketing, and direct marketing programs.
• Direct experience with graphic design, website design, and other marketing-related software tools.
• Knowledge of ethical marketing best practices and associated regulations.
• Demonstrated proficiency with marketing technologies, and related software tools, including Hubspot, Salesforce, Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads etc.
• Hands-on experience with search engine optimization, pay-per-click advertising, and other web initiatives.
• Ability to build and sustain relationships with key business partners.
• Experience managing freelancers and contractors.
• Effective project management, prioritization, multi-tasking, and time management skills to meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven team player who is both flexible and adaptable.
• Experience within industrial manufacturing is an asset.
