Executive Director

Kids Kottage, Edmonton’s only 24-hour crisis nursery, is currently searching for an Executive Director to lead and inspire the staff, community, donors, and individuals served by the Kottage.
For nearly 30 years the Kottage has been a safe place for infants and children up to 11 years facing crises at home. We offer emergency respite care for children for up to 72 hours, as well as parental support in navigating their way out of crisis, that includes issues of homelessness, addiction, mental health, threat of family violence, poverty, or any number of issues that may lead to neglect or abuse if left unaddressed. After the children return home, we ensure parents have on-going support to ensure home remains a safe place for children.
The ideal candidate for this position will be an inspiring leader and communicator with a passion for keeping children safe and families strong. He or she will demonstrate a wide range of skills, including the ability to work with an involved Board of Directors, to oversee management of the Foundation’s crisis nursery program, fund development program, and overall administration of the organization including the development of the annual budget.
As Executive Director, the candidate will provide operational leadership, ensuring equality and inclusion throughout the organization, upholding the human rights of both staff, clients and donors and make certain the program maintains excellence in its work.
