Position Overview
As a Platform Engineer at BibliU, your primary goal is to drive significant advancements in our digital learning platform, directly impacting the learning experience of students and educators globally. In this role, you will:
Security & Auditing: Support and implement security practices that are required for us to complete our required Audits. Maintain our trust centre. Proposing and driving changes we could be making to improve our compliance.
CI/CD improvements Keep our CI systems up to date and running fast. To enable our development team to release and iterate faster.
Infrastructure Maintenance Currently all our infrastructure is hosted on AWS, understanding how we can best utilise the platform to save on cost but also create the best experience for customers.
Developer Experience Helping our development team with any tooling or service which can reduce friction and cognitive load
Key responsibilities
Lead on annually security audits and penetrations testing
Maintain and improve our infrastructure on AWS to
Keep services up and running
Maintaining the out-of-office support process
Working on improving DX around infrastructure
Stay up-to-date with new technology trends, applications, and protocols in the software engineering world.
What we are looking for
Must have:
Experience: At least 2 years of platform or development operations experience.
Cloud Services Knowledge: Practical experience with AWS services.
Database Manager: Proficiency in MySQL/Postgres/Dynamodb/Redis.
Problem-Solving Abilities: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Team Collaboration: Effective teamwork skills, especially in a remote setting.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
Good to have:
Experience with node and go codebases
