Merchandising Specialist - Super rep

About the Position

Brand Momentum is currently looking for a detail orientated and Merchandising Specialist to work independently to multiple retail locations, anywhere from 40 hours per week.

Responsible for leading a team of IC's to deliver business objectives. Assist the Regional Manager to deliver Client execution strategy, expectations and achieve Key Performance Indicators through effective management of territory.

Manager will oversee area around Ottawa (19 stores to cover in total around Ottawa, Kanata, Pembroke, Renfrew...)

About You

You are an experienced professional who has a strong work Ethic, can work independently and has an eye for details. You are well organized, enjoy fast paced work environment and love building strong business relationships. If you have experience and enjoy working in a food store this is an advantage. You must have a smartphone and access to a car.

Scope of Responsibilities:

Execute brilliant in-store conditions by competing the core fundamentals of this role:

Build and maintain strong, long-lasting Client relationships.

· Provide a consistent line of communication from our Client to the Field (Independent Contractors)

· Strengthen in store relationships and develop a working relationship 

· Provide weekly or urgent updates to the Regional Manager

· Key contact for Independent Contractors to maintain execution alignment and fulfilment of contractual agreement (Scope of Work).

· Complete and execute a weekly priority-based plan to address store level / Minimum 4 low performing stores per week

· Responsible for supporting IC's and maintaining the business relationship with them.

· Recruiting – conducting interviews, job offers, completing contracts for own team and supporting Regional managers for any vacancies.

- Accurately order product to keep section full at all times + maintain a sufficient level of backroom stock of quick moving SKU's

- Provide support to Independent Contractors or surrounding stores in your agreed to coverage area:

Vacancy coverage

Job shadowing

Onboarding / Coaching Support

Seasonal coverage + elevated merchandising support needs

Core Competencies:

Hard Skills:

- Some Sales experience, including consumer-packaged goods with exposure to major customers

- Preferably 1-2 years managing a field sales team or dealing with Independent Contractors.

- Must be computer literate including familiarity with Outlook, Word.

- Valid driver's license

- Must demonstrate drive and passion, be a forward thinker, creative and have interest in coaching / supporting others.

- Strong customer focus, with the ability to understand key business drivers

Soft Skills:

- Solid interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with proven organizations skills.

- High level of attention to detail and accuracy

- Thrives in a fast paced and ever changing environment with the ability to multi-task and realign objectives on the move

- Proven sales and territory management skills; managing analytics for your respective direct reports

Experience requirements:

Ø The ideal candidate will have some sales experience with merchandising and / or consumer packaged goods.

Ø Ability to understand and communicate or design sales reports; as well as business acumen.

Ø Key requirements include having a positive and outgoing personality, outstanding communication skills, and a high level of attention to details. Ability to influence collaborative relationships and make tough decisions when required.

Ø Strong computer literacy skills; ability to use email with proper connotations.

Ø A reliable vehicle as well as a smart phone are necessary requirements to execute this role.

Ø Holding your team and yourself accountable with all of the above responsibilities.
