Job description

We are currently looking for an experienced Senior's Care Cook who is dedicated to creating delicious and nutritious meals for our senior residents. The ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background, a deep understanding of dietary needs for seniors, and a genuine interest in enhancing their dining experience.

Responsibilities:

Plan and execute well-balanced and nutritious menus for senior residents, considering dietary restrictions and preferences.
Prepare meals in accordance with established recipes and portion sizes.
Ensure that all meals meet high-quality standards in taste, presentation, and nutritional value.
Collaborate with staff to accommodate special dietary requirements and preferences.
Monitor and manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to maintain kitchen efficiency.
Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure the proper execution of meal plans.
Foster a positive and inclusive dining atmosphere for seniors, taking into account their social and cultural preferences.
Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Cook, preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting.
Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.
Knowledge of nutrition and dietary needs for seniors.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with other kitchen staff and adapt to changing menus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
Compassionate and patient approach when working with senior residents.
