Team Leader and Client Service Broker – Personal Lines (VIP)
The Private Client Team Leader role is to provide leadership accountability and mentoring to employees ensuring clients of exceptional service. The role is also responsible for establishing best practices / processes to enhance the customer experience while driving operational efficiencies, increase client retention and to be compliant with quality assurance standards. In addition to the above, the team leader maybe required to perform the duties of Client Service Broker.
Team Leader
Responsible for motivating and monitoring Client Service Brokers
Liaise & support Private Client Producers as well as build relationships with commercial
production teams.
Implement administrative and operational policies and practices as directed by their Manager
Ensure team’s adherence to set workflows, underwriting criteria and compliance to guidelines and
controls
Responsible for conducting individual audits
Perform other quality assurance functions as needed to ensure adherence to standards
Implement on going employee evaluations, training and development activities to ensure service
standards are met
Responsible for attendance tracking and ensure staffing levels are appropriate to meet service
standards
Respond to and document all client escalations within guidelines
Attend appropriate industry functions
Act as point of contact for the team members on all issues
Other duties as required
Customer Service Broker
Respond to all client inquiries in a timely manner and act as back-up when other Client Service Brokers’ are unavailable.
Review renewals for coverage, accuracy and market when required
Adhere to binding authority set out by carriers
Process and/or review all transactions
Follow internal workflow
Achieve division retention goals
Identify upsell opportunities, explain and recommend to clients
Identify cross selling opportunities and produce quality leads to sales team
Discuss any potential problems or concerns the client may have with the Account Executive in the
first year of business including notification of non-payment cancellations
Education
Minimum of 8 years relevant insurance and/or industry related experience
University Degree or College Diploma, CAIB and/or CIP designation an asset
5 years RIBO License required
Knowledge of EPIC an asset
Comprehensive and effective verbal/written communication skills
Ability to work well under pressure with minimum supervision in a team environment
Strong emphasis on a positive team dynamic
Excellent time management and organization skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to multi-task between a variety of tasks, projects, and deadlines
