Job description

Our customer, who has operated in Canada for over 100 years, and is located Beamsville, Ontario, has an opening for a Full-Time Accounting Assistant to join their team.

 

RESPONSIBILLITIES:

• Manage Accounts Payable: obtain bill approvals, enter, pay, and reconcile vendor accounts and credit card statements.
• Invoicing customers for manager travel reimbursements and management fees and reconcile customer accounts.
• Preparation of monthly financial statements, journal entries and bank reconciliations for several small holding’s companies.
• Process payroll for small group,
• HST filing.
• Annual preparation of working papers for external auditors and tax accountant for several small holding’s companies.
• Maintain filing system.
• Ad hoc projects.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma
• Previous experience in a similar position
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
• Bookkeeping skills (nice to have)
