Job description
TalentWorld is currently looking for reliable candidates for an exciting Machine Operator position in Aurora. Our client is a leading manufacturer.
Responsibilities
- Operate machine in a safe and efficient manner.
- See that machines are oiled properly and report malfunctions or areas requiring maintenance promptly.
- Assist in repairing machines when required
- Continually check quality of product produced to maintain highest standards of quality.
- See that required number of sheets of paper are going through machines at all times.
- Load rolls of paper onto rack as needed to keep required number of sheets going through machine
- Apply lubrication spray as needed to prevent crushing.
- Continually monitor “land” to keep as close to zero as possible.
- Keep area around machines clean, neat, and orderly.
- Keep water bin clean and spray nozzles adjusted to give proper spray pattern.
- Keep steam generator clean. Keep steam pressure adequate to provide quality filters.
- Perform any and all tasks as required by Team Leader and/or Manager.
- Follows all safety procedures and works in a healthy and safe manner at all times.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications- Candidate must be mechanically inclined.
- Should possess or be able to acquire on-the-job Forklift/Wave Training & Certification.
- Energetic, organized self-starter with excellent communication skills and a good attendance record.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to work in a team environment and with minimum supervision.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Good attendance record.
- Ability to understand and apply workplace safety procedures.
- Some lifting required up to approximately 50 lbs.
