Accounting Clerk I (General)
Finance Department
One (1) Permanent Position - Competition No. C1032-24 ACCI (E)
One (1) Temporary Position - Competition No. C1033-24 ACCI (E)

As a member of the Finance Department, these positions may be responsible for the following:

• Completes Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or Cashier functions efficiently and accurately on behalf of NLC
• Prepares timely and accurate coding of invoices
• Investigates and communicates any discrepancies between invoices, purchase orders and receiving reports and ensures the appropriate approval of invoices;
• Processes the weekly payment run and ensures payment terms are being adhered to;
• Responds to supplier, customer and employee inquiries in a timely manner
• Completes month end procedures
• Prepares and distributes reports periodically
• Provides support to other members of the Finance Team
• Other finance related functions as required.

The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:

• High School graduation
• Completion of a recognized two (2) year accounting diploma or three (3) year business diploma from a post-secondary institution
• One to two years of progressively responsible accounting experience in a computerized environment
• Some experience using the Microsoft Dynamics Financial System
• Knowledge of MMS, POS systems and Data Warehouse (BI Cube)
• Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Salary: CG 25 - $42,424.20 - $46,737.60 annually
