Main Purpose & Function  
As a member of the Social Policy team, the successful candidate will undertake a variety of social planning initiatives with the main objective to coordinate a diverse range of social grants including small capital, childcare, social responsibility and community services. The position will also work to support non-profit social services and childcare operators through capacity-building activities. The position will be involved in other departmental projects/initiatives as needed.

Where operationally appropriate and subject to change, the City of Vancouver has a Flexible Work Program. This program allows staff to work remotely 1 – 4 days a week from locations that are a daily commutable distance from their work at a City worksite. At this time this position is eligible to be part of the Flexible Work Program.

Employment Type:  Temporary Full Time 

Position Start Date:  April, 2024 

Position End Date:  March, 2025 

Salary Information: Pay Grade GR-029: $51.7 to $61.13 per hour
