ROLE DESRCIPTION
This is a full-time on-site Accounting Manager - Bookkeeper role located in Mississauga, ON. The Accounting Manager - Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping functions of Colt Automation Ltd. This includes managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial statements, reconciling bank statements, ensuring compliance with government regulations and other similar accounting duties.
Reports to the Vice-President, Operations.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
· Manages the accounting area and responsible for financial bookkeeping, reporting, billing, collections, payroll
· Responsible for Intercompany Accounting
· Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions
· Ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards
· Responsible for Year End preparation of Working Papers for Accountants to file Corp Statements
· Prepares Monthly Statements in a timely manner
· Prepares and files Monthly HST/WSIB/EHT and Source Deductions
· Works with management to determine short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.
· Provides financial analysis with an emphasis on job material and labour costing
· Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
· Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned
DESIRED SKILLS:
· Excellent management and supervisory skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Proficient in accounting software, Quick Books preferred.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
· Eight years or more of related experience required.
· Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.
· Experience with ERP operation, implementation and maintenance.
