Job description
Purpose:
Reporting to the Manager, Business & Program Development and under the direction of the Coordinator, Programs & Business Development, the Summer Camp Counsellor Lead is responsible for safe and effective organization of the York Lions summer camp programs. This position will facilitate program activities, deliver quality instruction and provide lead support to Camp Counsellors.
Education: Must be a current student.Valid certification in Standard First Aid & CPR Level C.
Experience: Experience working with children.Camp and/or sport instruction experience preferred.
Skills: 1.Ability to understand and demonstrate instructions, policies & procedures. 2. Ability to lead and motivate others towards learning new knowledge. 3. Ability to provide instruction and support others in developing knowledge or skills. 4. Ability to demonstrate responsible, ethical and professional conduct. 5. Ability to verbally communicate with others to explain and share information.
Additional Notes: Vulnerable Sector Police Check required. Ability to lift up to 25lbs.
