Looking for a passionate and creative person with a desire to be a great cook. On a daily basis, you will be performing a wide variety of tasks. Working with locally farmed and foraged ingredients, you will be given the opportunity to learn and be creative. Knowledge of culinary terminology, techniques and execution is an asset.
Job description:
- Employment for our Summer Season (June- Sept) with the opportunity for continued employment in our Winter season.
- Able to follow specific cooking procedures and instructions as set by the Head Chef.
- Responsible for compliance to food safety plan and culinary plan as well as company policies and standards. Ensuring high standards are met daily.
- Enjoying being creative, bringing new ideas and trying new techniques.
- Responsible for working in a clean, sanitary, and safe area, taking pride in cleanliness.
- Be a team player; respectful of others and equipment.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
- A Strong background in the culinary field combined with a great attitude towards learning and growing as a chef.
- Must be reliable, organized and show initiative.
- Culinary diploma or equivalent is an asset.
- Food safe certificate is an asset.
- Must have a good alarm clock.
