About the Role – How you will Contribute to the Service:

The Halton Regional Police is a progressive Service that is stepping forward as a leader in the emerging field of police analytics. We are seeking a Full Time Data Analyst - (Police Analytics Specialist) to help drive our HRPS initiatives, addressing large scale challenges that will yield outcomes for our police service and our community.

As a valued member of our team, you will leverage your expertise in data analysis (SQL, ETL, Power BI, Excel, Python, etc.) to extract actionable insights from complex datasets. Your contributions will directly impact strategic decision-making processes, empowering law enforcement personnel with the information they need to respond swiftly and effectively to emerging challenges. Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary units, you will transform raw data into meaningful visualizations and reports, enabling data-driven approaches to crime prevention, resource allocation, and community engagement initiatives. Other duties include but not limited: coordinating and completing police analytic projects, products and services, provides data integration and develops business solutions to support and expand the existing data reporting products and create new solutions. Provides specialized technical support services including analysis and application of techniques.

What you’ll Bring to the Role:

Education, Certifications and Qualifications: Minimum university degree in an analytical discipline such as Math, Economics, Computer Science, Physics or Engineering.

Core Working Hours: 35 hours per week: Monday - Friday

Salary Range: $90,738-$101,931
