Role: As a Food Runner, you will be a vital link between the kitchen and the dining area, ensuring that our guests receive their orders promptly and accurately. Your role is crucial in maintaining a smooth and seamless dining experience for our patrons.
Responsibilities: - Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of food orders.
- Confirm the accuracy and completeness of orders before presenting them to the serving staff.
- Deliver food orders to the correct tables promptly and with a professional demeanour.
- Ensure that each dish is presented in accordance with our established standards.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and serving staff to coordinate the pace of service.
- Relay any special requests or modifications to the kitchen team promptly.
- Provide a friendly and welcoming demeanour when interacting with guests.
- Respond promptly to any customer inquiries or requests with courtesy and professionalism.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dining area.
- Clear empty dishes and utensils promptly to ensure an uncluttered and enjoyable dining space.
- Support serving staff in setting up tables, refilling water glasses, and other tasks as needed.
- Collaborate with servers to ensure a coordinated and efficient service.
- Follow established protocols for food presentation and service.
- Uphold hygiene and safety standards in handling and delivering food orders.
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a Food Runner or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering orders accurately.
- Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
In addition to the duties mentioned above and job functions, any other assignment is given on an occasional or daily basis by the immediate superior or the management.
