DHL Legal Services offers all business partners worldwide solution-oriented legal advice. We provide comprehensive support in contracts, negotiations, and processes with customers and suppliers as well as in general litigation and commercial law matters.

Your tasks:
- Help ensure DHL Canada’s current and proposed activities, policies, business practices, and transactions comply with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Review, draft, and negotiate legal agreements and other documents related to a variety of transportation, commercial, financial, and operational matters (i.e., master service agreements, vendor agreements, real estate leases, employment contracts) to protect the organization’s legal and business interests.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to proactively track, monitor, and resolve legal issues and disputes that may arise from existing commercial relationships.
- Provide legal advice specifically in the areas of transportation, labour and employment, and commercial law.
- Create and deliver regular training programs to internal stakeholders and business colleagues.
- Conduct legal analysis and research to prepare recommendations on responding to legal issues and regulatory changes.
- Represent the organization in complex, controversial, or specialized legal proceedings before courts, government agencies, or other authorities.
- Coach and develop members of the Canadian legal team.
Your profile:
- At least 3 years of high-quality legal experience obtained in private practice or in-house environment.
- Licensed to practice law in Canada.
- Sound experience in commercial contracting, including transportation-related contracts and laws.
- Solid understanding of federal and provincial labour and employment practices and ability provide advice on labour and employment issues is a must.
- Demonstrated ability in effective independent carriage of files.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with various stakeholders.
- Ability to work efficiently on multiple projects, meet demanding deadlines, and prioritize workflow.
- Must be adaptable, service-oriented, flexible, and highly motivated.
- Fluency in French is an asset.
