Job description
The Community Birth Program is recruiting midwives for our home birth team!
We are hoping to grow our program with a home birth specific team of 3-4 midwives to care for a low volume of clients who choose home birth in Surrey, North Delta, Cloverdale. This home birth team will be supported by our core RM team and all the resources of Community Birth program, including CONNECTING PREGNANCY groups, doulas and in-house naturopathic physicians, OBs, NP & RNs consultants and lactation consultant in our office.
Ideal candidates have completed their new registration year/requirements and are keen to support low risk birth at home, incorporating all the unique abilities of midwives, including complementary health care approaches to pregnancy and birth.
Our goal is to preserve home birth for our low risk clients within the Surrey community. Our team recently has struggled to cover both hospital and home birth within the context of a community that struggles to recruit enough maternity care providers for our rapidly growing population.
Home birth is important to our families and our team. We currently support 3-5 home birth requests per month, with more & more request. Join our team to help us continue offering this important option for families.
