Location: Hybrid - Mississauga
TruStone is looking to hire a Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis to join their Finance team!

What you’ll be working on
- Prepare regular financial forecasting/re-forecasting and related analytics and reporting
- Work with senior management to develop analysis procedures and reporting on Service Fees and Advisor Transfers
- Work with senior management to maintain the quarterly budgeting process including coordination of budget inputs and providing accurate and timely business projections.
- When actual results are submitted, compare to forecasts, identify variances and follow-up with appropriate contacts to understand and/or assess the need for updates to be made
- Prepare files and tables for ad-hoc analyses for senior management that are clear and easy to understand
- Assisting with month/quarter/year end closing procedures and reporting
- Monitor internal controls to ensure internal policy and regulatory compliance.
- Implementing, managing and promoting an environment of continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain a positive relationship with clients and colleagues
- Assisting in analyzing all facets of the business to ensure the most efficient approach to long term success
- Perform other related activities and participate in ad hoc projects, as necessary or as assigned
What we’re looking for you to have
- Professional accounting designation (e.g. CPA, CGA, CMA) or equivalent work experience
- Minimum eight (8) years’ experience in financial management including acquisitions experience
- Proficiency in Excel, accounting software (Quickbooks, etc)
- Insurance industry experience is an asset
- Relationship management and negotiation skills to effectively represent the organization
- Strong communication skills and problem-solving skills
- Considerable judgment and discretion in preparing, disclosing and handling information of a confidential and sensitive nature.
- Knowledge and relevant experience with bookkeeping and basic accounting principles.
- Ability to read and interpret necessary policies and procedures as well as other programs and documents.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize and balance multiple tasks or projects
- Ability to research, analyze, evaluate, integrate ideas and problem solve
