IKEA COQUITLAM IS HOSTING AN IN-PERSON HIRING EVENT ON FEBRUARY 22nd, 2:30pm-4:30pm (BY APPOINTMENT ONLY).

IKEA COQUITLAM is currently hiring for a variety of part-time (20-34h) or (12-20h) a week jobs in the following areas:

- Carts Co-Worker, 12-20h
- Product Quality & Recovery Co-Worker, 12-20h or 20-34h
- Smaland (Kids Ballroom), 12-20h

About this work area

Product Recovery Co-Worker:
• Take necessary action on products to give them a second chance, through As-Is Selling, Repackaging or spare parts management
• Present and Sell IKEA products in As-Is using a strong commercial expression, selling these products with pride, and setting relevant prices that are attractive to customers yet still generate the best results for the business
• Always consider the sustainability impact when deciding when and how to recover products
• Represent and be an ambassador for product recovery, quality, and safety awareness in the unit
• Work closely with the different functions in the unit to ensure that common working routines and processes are followed related to product quality, safety and recovery
• Support and execute the product quality and safety related tasks in the unit to constantly improve customers’ product quality perception of our IKEA products

Carts Co-Worker:
• Maintain the flow of carts/baby strollers throughout the store to ensure positive customer shopping experience
• Assist customers in loading merchandise into vehicles as efficiently as possible
• Ensure that the loading zone remains clear
• Maintain a balanced cart flow throughout the store/home delivery areas
• Assist customers with bringing merchandise to be returned
• Report inoperable equipment to managers
• Maintain outside area, ensuring it is fully stocked with twine, etc.
• Work closely with the furniture pick up and warehouse staff to ensure the integrity of merchandise pulls

Smaland Co-Worker:
• Ensure a positive shopping experience by greeting visitors, being visible and available always and managing first contact resolution
• Responsible for registering, assisting and supervising registered children
• Ensure the environment is playful and fun
• Communicate with parents if there is an issue or concern
• Always actively participating in the children’s safety and security
• Advise all children of the Smaland rules and policies while their parents are present and ensure parents are aware of all Smaland policies and rules
