Job description
Northwest Freightways Ltd. located at 12340 Winram Road, Surrey, BC, V3V 3Y5 is looking for 1 Transportation Manager (NOC: 70020).
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Morning, Day
Wage Rate: $49.50 Hourly, for 40.00 Hours per week
Anticipated Start Date (at the latest in 3 months): As soon as possible
Specific Skills:
• Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of a transportation company
• Set operations, policies and standards for the transportation and storage of goods
• Oversee the dispatch, maintenance and service of vehicles
• Control the departmental budget
• Monitor company’s or department’s performance, prepare reports for senior management, and plan for changes to schedules and policies
• Recruit personnel and oversee their training
• Ensure transport compliances with regulations
• Arrange for shipping documentation and the tracking and tracing of goods in transit
Requirements:
Education: Completion of High School is required, Bachelor’s degree or higher education an asset
Experience: 2-4 years of relevant experience.
Languages: English
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines

Other: Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
