The salary range for this position is:

Recruitment range: $120,186 - $150,232 maximum starting salary is determined through knowledge, experience and internal equity.

Performance range: starting salary to max of $172,768 is available through annual performance increases.

An employee in this classification is excluded from the bargaining unit as defined in the Labour Relations Code

* This position is eligible for a Hybrid Work Arrangement*

Job Summary

Mandate/Core Purpose of Role
The Corporate Privacy Officer and Director, Privacy and Access (CPO) plays a key role in enabling the university to meet its commitments in the realms of privacy and access through the development and implementation of policies, processes and systems for privacy management and training; ensuring compliance with privacy and access laws; the administration of requests for access to information about the university’s functions and to an individual’s own personal information; conducting privacy impact assessments; providing advice on privacy consults; managing and responding to privacy complaints, incidents and breaches; and the coordination of privacy, records management and personal information security programs and initiatives.
