Senior Project Manager/Estimator

Job description
We have an immediate opening for a Senior Project Manager/Estimator to join our team near London, ON. If you have excellent organizational and analytical skills and are committed to building strong business relationships with clients and sub-contractors we have a great opportunity for you.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare construction estimates based on quotations, drawings, and specifications
- Create and track construction project schedules
- Visit worksites to monitor progress and maintain communication with the Foreman
- Issue purchase orders to subcontractors and suppliers
- Participate in weekly operations meetings
- Assist Estimator with large contract development
- Create and maintain the project schedule
- Assist in preparation of pre-construction and construction services proposals
- Examine and analyze tenders and make recommendations
- Follow the company cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures
- Liaise, consult, and communicate with consultants, contractors, and subcontractors
- Research and analyze cost data for review and presentation
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures while following OHSA and construction regulations
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is an asset
- Completion of a Project Management course is an asset
- 5 years proven experience in estimating within the civil construction industry
- 5 years proven sewer and water experience
- Knowledge of the Ontario Highway Traffic Act and the Ontario Health and Safety Act
- Knowledge of municipality specifications for sewer work
- Capable of working independently as well as in a team environment
- Outstanding interpersonal, time management, problem solving and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience with Bid2Win, Acumatica, or Maestro is an asset
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Knowledge of MTO book 7 Traffic Control Requirements
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to details
- Experience with hazard assessments and controls in the construction industry
- Proficient in MS Office; Word, Excel, Outlook and Web based platforms
