Job description

Our client is a mid-size company looking for a general manager to oversee finance, operations, and logistics in his management team. The general manager will coordinate with sales to maximize efficiencies, inventory management, and cost reduction where possible while keeping an eye on the strategic growth of the business. Compensation is based on experience but will not exceed $200K to start

Responsibilities
- Oversee and lead the finance & accounting team
- Full responsibility for the annual budget exercise, forecasts and variance analysis/explanation

- Oversee inventory control and logistics
-Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.
-Participate in the formulation of its overall strategic direction
-Oversee operation effectiveness and cost-saving initiatives
- Ensure an efficient supply chain production in order to maximize value for the business.
- Other duties as may be required in order to support the business goals

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related business field
- CPA , MBA , CFA or CPIM ( an asset )
- Approximately 10 years experience in a leadership role
- Strong Textile or fashion industry experience ( a major asset )
- Solid accounting or finance experience ( an asset)
- Strong communicator
- Strong business acumen
- Bilingual ( an asset )
