Sales Director - Foodservice

Job description
Magnet is helping our client, a Consumer Products organization in the Food & Beverage space, look for a Director of Sales, Foodservice to help drive business development within the Canadian Foodservice Sector. This individual will have an entrepreneurial mindset, know how to develop channel strategies and must have experience in leading both distributor & operator account segments within the Canadian Foodservice landscape.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies for business development by optimizing network in tandem with leveraging organizational customer partnerships
- Strategic Planning - As part of the Sales leadership team, lead the development & execution of the foodservice sales strategic plan.
- Develop long-term partnerships with targeted accounts that result in increased sales and margins
- Develop and manage pricing strategies long term/month to month to achieve targeted profit and volumes
- Work with the team to prepare budgets, period reviews and forecasting reports
- Hunter mindset with the ability to manage current business/accounts
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality, marketing, or related field preferred
- 8+ years sales experience in the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) industry dealing with large foodservice distributors and/or multi-unit operator chains and/or category management experience in retail or foodservice
- Ability to foster strong relationships both externally and internally with a proven track record of business development results
- Strong financial and analytical skills with a comprehension of trade, profitability, and forecasting
- Fact based selling approach and exudes confidence in negotiations
