Your new role
Vendor and Team Support:
- Provide exceptional customer service to vendors and internal teammates by promptly addressing accounts payable queries.
- Resolve issues efficiently, ensuring timely responses and effective solutions.
Invoice Processing:
- Verify, process, and execute vendor invoices while adhering to internal controls and vendor terms.
- Collaborate with other departments to maintain a seamless invoice approval process, ensuring accurate tracking.
- Code invoices with precision to facilitate accurate financial reporting.
Payment Management:
- Process weekly payments, including cheques, electronic funds transfers (EFTs), and other manual payment methods.
- Monitor voids, refunds, and any irregularities related to accounts.
Intercompany Coordination:
- Assist with Corporate’s intercompany processes, handling cost reimbursements and allocations.
Full-Cycle Accounting:
- Participate in the complete accounting cycle, including preparing monthly journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts.
Financial Reporting:
- Consolidate divisional business information for quarter-end working papers used in Financial Statements and Management Discussion & Analysis (MD&A).
Additional Support:
- Provide assistance with other accounting and administrative functions as assigned
What you'll need to succeed
Education:
- Holds a recognized university degree with a specialization in accounting .
Accounts Payable Experience:
- While accounts payable experience is not mandatory , it is considered an asset.
Technical Proficiency:
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite , particularly Word , Excel , and Outlook .
Effective Communication:
- An articulate communicator who excels in written and verbal interactions.
- Strong analytical skills and adept at delivering compelling presentations.
Innovative Mindset:
- Fearlessly brings forth innovative ideas and champions best practices to enhance organizational effectiveness.
- Demonstrates a commitment to quality performance , continuous improvement, and attention to detail.
