JOB TYPE: Permanent full-time
SCHEDULE: Day, 8 and 12-hour shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: Bilingual essential

JOB SUMMARY :
The clinical resource nurse participates in the coordination, development, implementation and evaluation of nursing care delivery to a psychiatric clientele in order to provide therapeutically competent, ethical and safe care.
REQUIREMENTS :
- Registration with the Nurses Association of New Brunswick;
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing;
- Three years' experience in psychiatric nursing care;
- Certificate in psychiatric nursing / mental health (CNA) would be an asset ;
- Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certificate;
- Good knowledge of the following computer applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook;
- Training in non-violent crisis intervention or commitment to take such training within set timelines;
- Prevention and Management of Suicidal Behaviours in a Psychiatric Hospital Setting or commitment to take such training within set timelines;
- Ability to manage stressful situations and to set priorities;
- Proven ability to solve problems, make decisions and resolve conflicts;
- Proven leadership skills;
- Initiative and sound judgment;
- Ability to teach and transmit knowledge to others;
- Individual or group facilitation skills;
- Ability to act as a change agent;
- Ability to work independently and as a team member;
- Physical ability to perform assigned duties;
- Good previous work history (performance and attendance);
- Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the Network management philosophy and organizational values;
- Compliance with the rules of confidentiality established by the Vitalité Health Network.
