JOB DESCRIPTION

Clinician/Social Worker, Families Work Program
Licensed Social Workers are eligible for a $7,500 signing bonus!
Opportunity for limited remote work to complete required documentation
As a Clinician in the Families Work program, you will maintain a caseload of five families and meet with each weekly. Families Work provides six to nine months of intensive services to families whose children either are at risk of being removed from their homes or are already in placement. Families Work also facilitates parent education groups using Incredible Years and Active Parenting curricula. The goals of the program are to prevent out-of-home placement for children, provide a safe environment to return children already in placement, and prevent future out-of-home placement. You will report to the Program Coordinator and work in a combination of on-site and remote with travel to client's homes required within Columbia County. You will work Monday through Friday with a flexible schedule, where you work independently but with a supportive team approach.

Responsibilities: .

»Provide in-home trauma-informedservicesincluding cognitive behavioral and family therapy to address parent/child issues; individual and couples therapy; parenting expertise and child development training, development and monitoring of behavioral plans in the home and at school; and skill-building services including anger management, stress management, problem solving, and coping expertise

»Provide parent education with parents/ legal guardians enrolled in Parent Education services and ensure the coordination of virtual and in-person parent education classes of various age ranges, around the clients' schedules

»Provide home and community-located consultation/ intervention with identified parents/ legal guardians to reinforce core concepts of the evidence-located curriculum and help ensure parental comprehension and integration of the concepts

»Provide support services including transportation, budgeting, housing and household management, case planning, on-call crisis support, and school consultations

»For children who are in placement, work with parents and treatment team to discharge children to their permanency goal as quickly and safely possible and/ or to assist families with meeting needs at a lower level of care

»Complete necessary all records and client information in conformity with agency, county, and state policy and funding requirements

Requirements and suitable education

»Master's degree in social work, mental health counseling, or equivalent from a graduate school program

» 0-2 years post-masters practice
