Sales Operations Coordinator

Paradise Spirits America Inc. is a marketing services company focused on promoting El Tequileño tequila. This authentic tequila brand has been made the same way and in the same place for over 60 years and we are now sharing it with the World. El Tequileño was founded in 1959 by legendary tequila pioneer Don Jorge Salles Cuervo. The distillery is located in the magical town of Tequila, Jalisco, the birthplace of the world-famous spirit which bears the same name. Even decades after its origin, the tradition of quality, integrity and authenticity continues under the watchful eye of Jorge Salles Cuervo’s eldest grandson who is carrying on the family legacy. Every drop is a celebration of passion and heritage. 

Following acquisition of the brand and distillery in 2017, considerable investments have been made in production, marketing and export of El Tequileño. El Tequileño has made significant increases in sales across Mexico and now to the USA, Canada, UK, Australia and abroad. Location: Paradise Spirits Corporate Office - Calgary, Alberta, Canada (In Office)

What The Role Is: 

As the Sales Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to the sales team, managing sales forecast reporting, lead inventory management, and PO fulfillment. In addition to, conducting wholesale and retail price analysis, managing the overall billing and invoice reconciliation process, and other general sales administration duties. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment within the spirits industry. You should have a minimum of 2 years of experience supporting the day-to-day operations of a sales team, preferably in the spirits/tequila industry. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Support day-to-day sales operations, addressing any issues or challenges that may arise.
• Manage top-line inventory positions and PO fulfillment process with distributors.
• Manage new item/renewal registration process across US markets.
• Provide support to the sales team through enhanced reporting to include sales forecasting, budget reconciliation, and analysis of sales data.
• Process invoices and ensure timely payment to vendors, maintaining accurate records of financial transactions.
• Collaborates with the management team to monitor annual forecasts and budgets. 
• Utilize proprietary systems to gather and analyze relevant information for sales operations and reporting purposes.
• Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to inform decision-making processes.

Requirements & Qualifications: 

• 2-4 years of professional experience, ideally in consulting or sales strategy/business operations roles in the Wine & Spirits industry; tequila industry is a plus. 
• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, hospitality, or related discipline.
• Organizational agility with proven ability to navigate the organization to collaborate and build relationships across levels and departments. 
• Strong critical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills with the courage to make key decisions independently. 
• Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills, especially with MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and MS Outlook. 
• Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to make decisions based on limited data / information. 
• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) with the ability to provide feedback across all levels of organization. 
• This is a full-time, in-office role and candidates should only apply if already residing in Calgary. 

Salary Range: $40,000 - $50,000 per year, CAD
