Job description
Blue Hawks Transport LTD. is in search of ten full-time permanent Long Haul Truck Driver (NOC: 7511) @ $27.50 per hour, for 50 hours per week.
Required Skills:
- Operate and drive tractor-trailer or straight-body trucks.
- Transport goods and materials at various locations.
- Ensure good condition of equipment and safety and security of cargo.
- May make adjustment to routes if unexpected closures or conditions arise.
- Perform emergency road-side repairs, if required.
- Use GPS and other navigation equipment.
- Perform pre trip, en route and post trip inspection.
- Monitor and assist in loading and unloading of goods.
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, fuel consumption and other information.
- Abide truck driving rules and regulations as well as company policies and procedures.
- Communicate with dispatchers, other staff and customers using appropriate devices.
- Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness and perform preventive maintenance.
- May work as part of two-person team.
- Obtain all permits required to travel internationally.

Education: Completion of High School

Credentials: Driver’s license Class 1/ A, Air Brake Endorsement (Z)
