Job Summary

Manage a transport process from our global suppliers to our manufacturing sites in the Netherlands, Turkey, India & China and from these manufacturing sites to our international customers. Set policy for a cost effective and efficient transport process in accordance with corporate and statutory requirements of local and international applicable laws. Comply with the latest regulations and required export licenses. Improve and develop the EWIS transportation processes.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage all operational transport activities for the EWIS sites
• Lead transportation improvement projects with internal and external stakeholders
• Maintain delivery instructions in compliance with (local) regulations and freight  requirements
• Monitor- instruct- and develop suppliers to make sure they are delivering according delivery instructions
• Manage and take appropriate actions towards transport service providers on the agreed performance and costs targets
• Improve transport routing to optimize the performance versus costs.
• Support in claims towards transport service providers and/or Assurance Company
• Support the implementation of a Transport Management System
• Act as an escalation level for the local SCM and Procurement teams regarding transport issues
• Act as subject matter expert and process owner for the EWIS transportation processes. Provide internal training.
• Ensure export compliancy in all transport processes
• Advice and set-up for local manufacturing facilities to be compliant for Air Freight Security in accordance with the C-TPAT and AEO (or equal) regulations, if applicable
• Work closely with the global transportation commodity team on commercial and operational topics
• Investigate other transportation strategies

Job Qualifications

• HBO, thinking and working level.
• Preferably 5 years of experience in a similar position
• Knowledge of English, verbally and written
• Knowledge of Transport management
• Project management skills
• Knowledge of regulations concerning Global Air Freight security
• The ability to work with world-wide cultures and their specific requirements
• Analytical, accurate and structured
• Advisory opinion
• Occasional travel
• Thorough knowledge of Incoterms
