Job Description:

The Communications Coordinator will work closely with the Executive Director, Programming Coordinator, and Project Coordinator to promote this town is small’s exhibitions, events, and activities. The Coordinator will especially assist in the lead up to and during the Radiant Rural Halls presentation series (https://thistownissmall.com/radiant-rural-halls/). We are seeking a candidate who is passionate about and engaged in the arts.

This position is for candidates based in Prince Edward Island. This position can be done with a combination of working from home and in our office space in Charlottetown. Some on-site work will be required, so candidates should have access to reliable transportation. 

Applicants should have experience in Arts Administration, Fine Arts, Project Management, Communications, or equivalent. Candidates should have strong organizational skills, communication/writing skills, proficiency with social media platforms, and ability to work well both independently and with teams. Experience with graphic design, web design (wordpress), and/or photography is an asset.

Job Duties:

Create content for social media (Instagram & Facebook), e-newsletters, press releases, promoting exhibitions, events, and programming for this town is small

Social media management, including maintaining a social media calendar 

Design promotional materials (social media graphics, posters, pamphlets, and signage) for TTIS programming (exhibitions, workshops, events, etc.)

Assist with website maintenance and design (Knowledge of WordPress is an asset)

Assist with on-site documentation and social media promotion of TTIS activities, events, and workshops as needed
