The Role:

We’re looking for a Senior Program Manager to lead the implementation of a portfolio of large, strategic projects. The role is based at our Calgary headquarters and will work directly with our founders and executives across the entire organization.

In a high-growth startup, you’ll need to be a dynamic team player who has the ability to plan, coordinate and adapt quickly as priorities change. This isn’t a traditional, corporate style role. You’ll have your pulse on the larger picture at all times while leading teams through the execution to get there. In this role, you’ll be coordinating across our various departments to ensure success on our highest impact projects. You’ll be a master at keeping teams aligned and motivated, helping them understand how their work fits to project goals and deliverables. You’ll have the opportunity to make your mark alongside some of Canada’s most passionate, talented people.

What you'll be doing:

• Manage cross-functional and business engineering programs in a matrix organization covering a range of products across all lines of the business
• Develop and manage end-to-end project plans and oversee the delivery of activities across teams
• Work with leadership to prioritize and scope work with completion dates and then defining the phases and timing leading up to each deployment
• Interface with engineering teams and cross-functional partners for project requirements and scope
• Manage the relationship and communication with stakeholders throughout the program implementation and delivery process
• Take part in defining the roadmap and long-term strategy of the teams that you are working with
• Drive internal process improvements across multiple teams and functions

Who we're looking for:

• 5+ years of relevant waterfall and agile project management experience in portfolio management, specifically in areas related to technology, banking, financial crimes and compliance, and a strong understanding of which approach to use
• Experience working with highly technical and third party tool management teams and acting as a focused advisor for various business units
• An engineering, business or related degree or equivalent work experience in banking, technology, or other sectors work with analysts and designers to blend data decisions and UI for the best customer experience
• Experience owning and seeing projects through the full lifecycle, and leading multiple processes while being autonomous
• Familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
• Experience managing with external vendors and negotiating contracts.
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively while applying sound business judgment and quantitative analytics
• Experience working with senior stakeholders in the organization
• Prior experience in operations and change management is an asset
