Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Business Analytics Specialist plays a key role within our Data and Analytics core function. Responsible for leveraging data analytics to inform strategic decisions, this individual will be working closely with both Marketing and Fundraising teams to optimize our campaigns and enhance our marketing efforts to better engage with our community and stakeholders.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Utilize data analytics and statistical techniques to derive insights that inform strategic decisions and drive organizational impact.
- Collaborate with the marketing and fundraising teams to optimize campaigns through data analysis, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Conduct A/B and multivariate testing on marketing and fundraising campaigns to improve effectiveness and ROI.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that track key performance indicators (KPIs), providing actionable insights to various departments.
- Assist in the implementation and integration of data systems, promoting data analytics awareness across the organization.
- Develop new modeling methodologies to assess the performance of different initiatives, ensuring resources are effectively allocated towards high-impact activities.
- Provide proactive and innovative data-driven recommendations to enhance our engagement with donors, volunteers, and the communities we serve.
- Assist with ad-hoc data analysis requests and other data-related projects as needed.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analytics, preferably within a non-profit or social impact organization.
- Proficiency in data extraction, manipulation, and analysis using tools such as SQL and PowerBI.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data findings into actionable insights.
- Self-driven, results-oriented, and a strong desire to make a positive impact.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Motivated self-starter who is able to take both guidance and initiative.
