Job description
The City of Weyburn is offering an opportunity to work at Weyburn Leisure Centre as a Lifeguard/Instructor. As we continue to grow and prosper as a community, we seek a motivated and innovative employee to join our team!
Responsibilities:
Work a variety of shifts as well as weekends to meet the program requirements;
Attend in-service training sessions as well as utilize set pool times for personal fitness and maintenance of certification levels;
Administer emergency procedures, enforce aquatic safety policies as well as facility operating policies;
Maintain a positive attitude with public and staff to ensure a harmonious working relationship;
Assist with pool maintenance and other program services when necessary;
Maintain and upgrade certifications as required;
Report any unsafe condition(s) to immediate supervisor;
Instruct the Lifesaving Societys Swim for Life swimming lessons; and
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Students hired must be at least 15 years of age, enrolled as a student at a secondary or post-secondary school or institution; and
Must possess current certification in First Aid and CPR-C, Swim for Life and NLS.

Wage In accordance with CUPE Local 90 Agreement.
