Reporting to the Director, Change, Communications and Engagement, Health Transformation Office, the Change Management Lead provides subject matter expertise ensuring health transformation projects (change initiatives) identified as part of the Action for Health strategic plan are successfully adopted within the health system. This role focuses on people, and the changes to organizational and team processes, policies and/or procedures, use of new technology, structures, and evolving culture as we continue on a journey of health system transformation. This position provides change management leadership and advice and is responsible for developing and implementing a strategic integrated approach to change management activities, leading to the successful adoption of health system transformation priorities. In addition to superior communication and engagement expertise, the role requires demonstrated experience in leading change management (plan development and implementation), up-to-date knowledge of change management approaches and practices, and the capability to apply this knowledge in a large-scale complex system with competing priorities. This role helps build and support a culture that promotes the delivery of high-quality care through the implementation of broad-scale transformation initiatives that are improving patients’ and providers’ experience, including in priority areas such as primary health care, surgical access, health system workforce, emergency health services, and more.
Demonstrating leadership behaviours and capabilities consistent with LEADS in a caring environment framework, which include Lead Self, Engage Others, Achieve Results, Develop Coalitions, and System Transformation, the Change Management Lead focuses on evidence-based strategic change approaches in support of health system transformation. Working collaboratively, this position ensures that approaches and tactics in support of health system transformation are timely, relevant and effective in upholding the mission and values of Nova Scotia Health and health system partner organizations, and that change activities are targeted where they are most needed to create a world-class healthcare system.

$41.48 - $51.85 Hourly
