What you will be doing

Assists the Programmer to plan and implement program activities, outings and special events to meet the needs and interests of the program participants.

Education

Two year College Diploma in Recreation and Leisure or Similar

Experience and Knowledge

One to two years’ previous related work experience implementing activation and recreation programs in a group or one-to-one basis with individuals who are frail and/or developmentally, cognitively or physically impaired, living with chronic disease or mental health issues, or other populations with special needs.

We are looking for these certificates

Standard First Aid with CPR C and AED

We will ask you for these items if you are hired

Current and valid Police Vulnerable Sector Check to be provided prior to commencement in this position Proof of your current and valid certificate(s) and/or educational qualifications Valid G driver's license This position also requires the use of a personal vehicle Supervisor Health & Safety Awareness Training Certificate from the Ministry of Labour

Your compensation

The hourly rate is within the Inside workers Collective Agreement of $34.05 (Job Grade 6).

Hours of work

Scheduled hours of work will vary according to vacation bookings or last-minute sick replacement and will include daytime hours between 8:00am and 9:00pm, Monday to Saturday with mandatory Saturday scheduling.
