Purpose

To provide administrative and related support to the centralized portfolio management function of Scotia Private Investment Counsel. The position has an emphasis on trading support which includes, but not limited to, accurate and timely trade entry, trade notification and settlement coordination. The role facilitates the orderly flow of information between the custodian's settlement teams, Compliance, Traders and Portfolio Managers.
The Portfolio Administrator may be designated as the point of contact for trade records, general inquires pertaining to the portfolio accounting system and managing cash requirements, while working with large amounts of data as a result of the large number of accounts under management (>14,000). This may include contact with internal clients and external departments to gather and relay information or resolve problems.
