We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Fire Protection Engineering Specialist . This position offers an exciting opportunity for recent graduates or individuals with limited experience to kickstart their career in the dynamic field of fire protection engineering. As part of our collaborative team, you will have the chance to work on diverse projects, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to the development of cutting-edge fire protection solutions.

Your role within the team:

• Assist senior fire protection specialists in the design, analysis, and evaluation of fire protection systems for various projects.
• Conduct research and gather data related to fire protection codes, standards, and regulations applicable to project requirements.
• Perform system calculations and simulations to assess fire hazards, predict fire behavior, and optimize fire protection strategies.
• Support the preparation of technical reports, drawings, and specifications for fire protection system designs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate fire protection measures into overall project designs.
• Participate in site visits, inspections, and meetings with clients to understand project needs and address technical inquiries.
• Stay updated on advancements in fire protection technology, industry trends, and best practices.

The ideal candidate:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or a diploma in Fire Protection Engineering Technology.
• Knowledge of fundamental principles of fire protection engineering, including fire dynamics, suppression systems, and detection methods.
• Familiarity with relevant codes and standards such as NFPA, ULC, and national model building codes.
• Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and engineering analysis tools.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to solve complex problems.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Prior internship or co-op experience in fire protection engineering is desirable but not required.
• Eligibility to obtain professional engineering licensure or certification is a plus.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Security Clearance requirements will apply.
