ABOUT THE JOB:
The Manager, HRBP plays a crucial role in aligning business objectives with workforce planning solutions for employees and leaders in our rapidly growing organization. Creating positive and productive employee engagement, this role reports to the Director of People and will also be responsible to lead a team. They will be the first point of contact on all HR matters for the group their team supports.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Strategic HR Planning and Stakeholder Partnership:
- Collaborates closely with business leaders to provide strategic and tactical HR support, delivering effective solutions aligned with organizational goals
- Serves as a trusted advisor and is the main HR point of contact for assigned departments or divisions
- Acts as a catalyst for change and serves as a champion to promote our core values and drive cultural initiatives
- Ensures deep understanding of the business and best practices
- Participates in creating ad-hoc and forward looking communications
- Develops and executes strategies for building and maintaining a highly engaged workforce
- Actively supports our I.D.E.A. (Inclusion. Diversity. Equity. Accessibility.) and community initiatives
Talent & Workforce Management:
- Drives talent management and workforce planning initiatives, including talent assessments, succession planning, development programs, and recruitment strategies in partnership with our specialized HR teams to ensure a strong pipeline of future leaders
- Utilizes HR data and analytics to provide insights into workforce trends and make data-driven recommendations to improve workforce strategies
- Solves complex employee relations issues and guides leaders in resolving conflicts and managing disciplinary actions
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance (e.g., coaching, counseling, improving working relationships, career development, disciplinary actions)
HR Management, Policy, & Compliance
- Leads and direct a team of HRBP(s) and future Employee Relations Specialist(s)
- Collaborates with all functional areas of HR to deliver the right service to their customer groups
- Maintains up to date knowledge of legal/regulatory requirements related to day-to-day management of employees across different states/regions/provinces
- Ensures that HR policies and practices within the region are compliant with legal and regulatory requirements
- Conducts audits and assessments to maintain compliance
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational change-management skills operating in a matrix or other ambiguous, complex organizational structure
- Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders
- Ability to effectively manage multiple, changing priorities in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency
- Proficient with MS Office/Excel/Word/Outlook
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and collaborative nature
Skills that are a Plus:
- SuccessFactors HRIS
- Experience in equipment rental, construction-oriented or industrial work environments
- Experience with mergers and acquisitions
- Bi-lingual (for roles in the US: English/Spanish, for roles in Canada: English/French)
