Summary
The IT Network Intern will complete an 8-month work term starting May 2024. Supporting Precision’s growing environment at a technical level, the successful candidate will represent the infrastructure team in its relationships with business unit customers and other IT groups. A focus and appreciation of the need for process, change control, and infrastructure stability is required.

Strong technical management and support skills, specifically able to work with end users to identify and resolve business issues in an innovative manner
Strong analytical and customer service skills
Self-motivated and disciplined
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure work environment
Education
Currently enrolled in a postsecondary diploma or degree in computer Science or related studies with an aptitude for Infrastructure Technologies
Experience
Experience with infrastructure networking and security systems/protocols and related technologies: LAN, WAN (BGP and OSPF), WLAN, VPN, FW, VoIP, and IDS/IPS
Experience with Network Automation is considered an asset
Experience with the Oil & Gas Industry, ITIL practices, and SOX compliance is an asset
Previous experience supporting production environments and working with end users to identify and resolve business issues innovatively is an asset
Previous experience working in a team-orientated, collaborative environment is required
