Your Contribution
Our Englobe Edmonton office is currently recruiting for the position of Senior Geotechnical Engineering .
As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer your responsibilities will be;
- Subject matter expert that provides technical oversight as project management and delivery of geotechnical investigations and analysis for engineering studies for simple to complex projects.
- Write and/or review geotechnical reports, specifications, and other deliverables related to a variety of geotechnical projects including energy, institutional, transportation, industrial, commercial, communication and residential projects. Must possess a strong technical writing ability with no oversight.
- Design project specific field investigation (programs and laboratory testing programs) to meet the deliverable requirements.
- Conduct slope stability analysis and conduct shallow and deep foundation designs.
- Conduct settlement analyses.
- Conduct geotechnical assessment utilizing computer aided design and analysis software.
- Conduct site visits and investigations to evaluate difficult conditions and assist field staff.
- Contribute and prepare proposals and write reports.
- Review proposals and reports prepared by junior engineers.
- Foster client relationships throughout the project life cycle including acting in a technical advisory role and participate in internal and external project meetings.
- Provide leadership and technical mentoring to younger team members.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety rules.
Your Profile
- University degree in Geotechnical , Civil or Geological Engineering, Masters' degree an asset.
- 15 years of solid Geotechnical engineering experience in geotechnical related work such as site investigations, design of deep and shallow foundations, slope stability and on-site review of construction activities.
- Demonstrated ability that you are well organized, show initiative and can provide technical management to a team of engineers and technicians.
- Dam experience is an asset.
- Soil nail and rock bolt experience is an asset.

- Demonstrated sensitivity and consideration for occupational health and safety.
