Description of the company:
This organization provides full architectural services and is seeking a licensed architect with a minimum of 5 years of post-licensure experience, including involvement in ICI projects. The role involves overseeing various renovation project types and serving as the primary contact for all construction phase activities.

The organization is looking to add an experienced Contract Administrator to its growing team to assist and support on current projects, as well as on future projects.
Responsibilities:
- Spearheading the Contract Administration phase of projects developed and issued by Project Architects, while collaborating appropriately with Project Architects for comprehensive review oversight as mandated by the OAA.
- Grasping project requirements encompassing design, construction methodologies, materials, physical and financial constraints, and system performance parameters to ensure optimal designs are achieved.
- Applying relevant Statutes, Regulations, Codes, and Standards, including their application to necessary changes during construction phases.
- Facilitating communication with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) at key milestones and in response to project alterations.
- Compiling and managing Contract Administration documentation such as Submittal Reviews, Site Visit/Review Reports, Contemplated Change Notices, Change Orders, Site Instructions, Certificates of Payment, Deficiency Reports, and requisite close-out documentation.
- Assessing project needs concerning design, construction methods, materials, physical and financial constraints, and system performance parameters to realize optimal designs.
- Directing the production of construction documents, coordinating efforts with all sub-consultants, ensuring precision and comprehensiveness, and adhering strictly to project scope and requirements.
- A deep understanding of statutes, regulations, codes, and standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in administering a variety of contract types, including Design-Bid-Build (CCDC2), and some exposure to Construction Management (CM) contracts.
Must haves:
- Registration as a Licensed Architect with the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA) and holding a Membership with Seal.
- A minimum of 5 years of post-licensure experience. This experience should encompass thorough construction review and contract administration, focusing on renovations and institutional projects.
- Prior experience working on projects in cold climates.
- Proficiency in administering CCDC2 contracts is mandatory, while familiarity with Construction Management (CM) contracts is considered advantageous.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office applications is essential.
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience in SketchUp, Photoshop and InDesign is an asset.
