Job Description
- The EDI Manager (Technical) will manage the daily operation of EDI systems, including system integration, data mapping, and data transformation.
- The successful candidate will ensure timely and accurate processing of transportation-related EDI transactions, such as 204, 210, 211, 214, 856, 990, 997 and others.
- The EDI Manager (Technical) will collaborate with all MGC (Manitoulin Group of Companies) business units, carriers, customers, and 3PLs to establish EDI connectivity and resolve issues related to EDI transactions.
- The EDI Manager (Technical) will develop and maintain EDI maps and translate specifications for new EDI trading partners.
- The EDI Manager (Technical) will lead the implementation of consolidation and streamlining of existing EDI systems, including upgrading, testing and troubleshooting.
- The EDI Manager (Technical) will monitor EDI performance metrics, analyze trends, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- The EDI Manager (Technical) will ensure compliance with EDI standards and protocols, such as ANSI X12 and EDIFACT.
- The EDI Manager (Technical) will also be a working manager who is hands-on and actively involved in the technical aspects of EDI, including system administration, development and architectural changes to support future business.
- The EDI Manager (Technical) will be expected to thoroughly understand how to interpret business needs (internal and external) and translate them into applications and operational requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 5 years of experience in managing EDI operations for transportation, logistics, warehouse, or freight forwarding companies
- Proficient in EDI standards and protocols, with a deep understanding of transportation-related EDI transactions
- Strong technical background in system integration, data mapping, and data transformation
- Proven track record of successfully managing EDI projects and delivering results
- Excellent communication and collaboration skill
