We are looking for an Event Accounting Manager to manage and provide quality oversight to mapping and rule setting process in various systems to ensure data accuracy.

We need this role to maintain the effective system data flow and a smooth month end, quarter end and year end close.
This role works closely with IT support team and UK Finance Data & Systems team on event accounting configuration and Finance projects to meet internal and client objectives.
This role should be proficient in data flow management and provides support to Sr Finance Manager and VP – Finance Opts, with a focus on data integrity.
Supervise the system feed flow daily and during the month-end close.
Ensure feed accuracy and data integrity among various systems and associated data platforms.
Define and evaluate the possible factors caused the failures and provide updates and communications across the organization.
Work on the initial set up of new accounting events and projects, mapping and transaction posting rules from source to the downstream systems.
Ensure event accounting guidelines and procedures meet the data management requirements according to business expectations.
Verify source documents against entered data to ensure data integrity at every stage and immediately make required changes as needed.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Finance Accounting or Business Administration / Commerce
Accounting designation or working toward to completion (CMA, CGA, CPA, CA)
3+ years of financial analysis and reporting, preferably in the banking or insurance industry with direct experience with managing fixed assets and expense allocations process
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Sophisticated EBR (Oracle or SAP) and Essbase skills will be an asset.
Solid knowledge of accounting principles (CGAAP and IFRS)
