Job description
Our client a well-established company in the transport and logistics industry is looking for a bilingual, financial analyst for his accounting department. As the financial analyst you will report to the controller and oversee the month-end process. We are looking for a well-organized, fast learner, go-getter financial analyst with experience.
The position required 100% on-site presence in VSL free parking included.
$80k-90K

Responsibilities
Prepare financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to assist in management decision-making.
Collaborate with operational teams to analyze and optimize cost structures, identifying areas for efficiency and savings.
Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning.
Conduct in-depth financial analysis to assess the performance of transportation, logistics, and supply chain operations.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
Evaluate investment opportunities, assess ROI, and contribute to the development of business cases for new initiatives.
Assist in the preparation of financial presentations for leadership, providing clear and concise explanations of financial performance and trends.
Participate in the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations and procurement, to drive financial initiatives and process improvements.
Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and market conditions that may impact financial performance.
Qualifications
Bachelor's in accounting or a CPA
2+ years of experience
Bilingual
Very Strong in Excel ( able to build financials from extract in Excel)
