They are looking for a Project Manager to join their growing organization in an emerging industry that offers significant potential for advancement in the design-build space for hospitality, mixed-use, institutional, and residential sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Organize and direct workflow of Projects; maximize the efficiency of production to ensure effective employment utilization.
- Review production costs and product quality; modify production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operations.
- Anticipate operational problems by studying operating targets, modes of operation, and unit limitations, and monitoring unit performance.
- Ensure systems are fully utilized and automated for maximum efficiency of tasks.
- Ensure machinery is properly maintained and establish plant housekeeping standards.
- Monitor budgets to continuously control costs, improve efficiency and increase productivity.
- Monitor purchasing, production scheduling, and shipping to ensure timely delivery of customer products.
- Create a team-based culture and communicate effectively with team members.
- Model a culture of safety; maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures while complying with legal regulations.
- Lead, support, and direct departments to ensure goals and objectives are aligned with the company’s strategic plan and uphold our core values.
- Supervise all production staff and subcontractors.
- Document company procedures and train employees and subcontractors
- Support the day-to-day Management of all Projects and Project Management staff for all projects.
- Responsible for all company vehicles, tools, and equipment, including their maintenance are in good operating condition.
- Responsible for recruiting, negotiating, and developing a working relationship with production staff and sub-contractors in every trade.
- Conduct various site visits/measures with the installation lead & client & report back to the project team.
- Document and follow up on on-site visits, important actions, and decisions from meetings.
- Review and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Coordinate quality checks on all products before they are turned over to the client. This includes walking the client through the operation of the systems, answering any questions before the project is closed out & removing job signs.
- Ensure contracts and change orders are completed on time, without deficiencies, and pass QC.
- Monitor and report on department performance and oversee the efficiency of operational processes.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in the construction industry, preferably at the Project Management level
- Experience with fenestration a plus
- Experience with a side of building exteriors, cladding, glass experience, high level of detailed projects
- Experience with blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Experience with Solid Works, AutoCAD, and 3D modeling.
- Technical experience in the construction industry
- Degree or diploma in a related field a plus
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Good sense of humor
